Public browsing and analytics
Vercel hosts the site and may process request and security logs needed to deliver and protect it. Vercel Web Analytics records aggregated page-view information without third-party analytics cookies or a persistent cross-site identifier. It can include the page, referrer, broad location, browser, operating system, device type, and time of the request.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics runs only when a measurement ID is configured. When enabled, Google may process usage and device information under its own terms. The site requests IP anonymization in its Google Analytics configuration.
Advertising
The site may use Google AdSense to display advertising after Google reviews and approves the site. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers and process device and usage information to measure or personalize advertising. Before enabling personalized advertising, the site owner must configure the consent and regional controls available in AdSense.
Accounts and saved guides
Supabase provides authentication. It processes account identifiers such as email address, user ID, authentication method, and session tokens. The Vice Guy database stores the matching email address, optional display name, role, editorial records, and the published guide bookmarks you choose to save. Session cookies keep you signed in. Editorial tools remain restricted by the account role.
How information is used
Information is used to operate and secure the site, authenticate editors, preserve editorial accountability, provide saved-guide access, diagnose failures, and understand aggregate site usage. Service providers such as Vercel and Supabase process information only as part of providing their hosting, analytics, database, and authentication services.
Retention and control
Account and saved-guide records are retained until deleted or no longer needed for the service. Editorial identity and version records may need to remain for access control and the publication audit trail. Hosting and analytics providers apply their own retention periods. An account holder may use the Contact page to determine whether a deletion request channel is currently available.
